The blog for the most powerful search engine on the planet was lost, temporarily....
It appears that the techies at Google accidentally deleted their own
blog (googleblog.blogspot.com), allowing someone else to register it.
The problem was only short-lived however, and everything is back online as normal.

Stop Codex Alimentarius and Protect Health Freedom!
Codex Alimentarius is a looming threat to your health and health freedom. If you care about natural health care, you need to know about Codex Alimentarius.
According the official documentation, "The Codex Alimentarius Commission was created in 1963 by FAO and WHO to develop food standards, guidelines and related texts such as codes of practice under the Joint FAO/WHO Food Standards Programme." Allegedly, "the main purposes of this Programme are protecting health of the consumers and ensuring fair trade practices in the food trade, and promoting coordination of all food standards work undertaken by international governmental and non-governmental organizations."
Unfortunately, the stated purposes of the organization actually work against the natural health industry. They intend to all but eliminate vitamin & mineral supplements, destroy organic farming principles and promote the use of pharmaceutical prescription drugs. Natural medicine will become a thing of the past, as will our health as a country.
Codex Alimentarius is a looming threat to your health and health freedom. If you care about natural health care, visit healthfreedomusa.org to
stop Codex Alimentarius and protect health freedom!

At
the vine we support a number of blogs and place adsense advertising on most of them to gain revenue. This link,
Inside AdSense: From the Inside AdSense mail bag, helps explain the basics for anyone interested in incorporating ads into their own
custom design web site or blog.
The site we made,
Stop OxyContin Abuse - Oxycontin Information & Resources, is now ranked #1 on MSN for
Oxycontin Abuse. The rankings in Google have been negligible, as well as on Yahoo. This is a prime example of the diverse results that come from the different engines and the dynamic nature of search engine positioning.

The last few weeks have been interesting for anyone following the
Google PageRank in their browser bar. Our blog has jumped from a page rank of 0 to 5, back to 0, up to 5 again, down to 4, 3, then 0 and back up to 5 again.
Overall our
rankings in the search engines have been steadily increasing, but the Page Ranks have been dancing all over the place.
If you don't have a Google PageRank in your browser, check out our
previous post to download the firefox broswer with Google Toolbar.

These days it's getting harder & harder to discern between real information and spam. It can be quite annoying. One example is this blog, and some of our other blogs. Very often blogger.com will flag our blogs as spam blogs due to the high link ratio leaving the site. Instead of seeing it as a useful collection of links, it automatically assumes spam. It is usually sorted out and the blogs become active again, so we don't really mind.
On a positive note, our servers are equipped with spam protection that can be enabled for all email accounts. There are various levels of security that can be selected. IF you are uncertain on how to operate them, just let us know!

Warehousing Services from Fort Storage Contract Distribution Warehousing is a company here in Winnipeg that contacted us regarding
Search Engine Optimization, Web Design. They do
third-party warehousing, distribution, etc and have warehouses for storing
industrial chemicals and other items in Saskatoon, Airdire (Calgary) and Winnipeg. When we first optimized the site, the rankings sky-rocketed. Unfortunately, like
many sites, those results were shuffled again with the recent google algorithm update.
