This is how to play Double Rummy, a game we often play in my family.
Using 2 decks (jokers excluded), each player is dealt 11 cards. Pick up 1 card, from the discard pile or the stack. Must have a discard to go out. 2's are wild.
Each round must begin by a player having the corresponding 'meld'.
- 2 sets of 3
- 1 set of 3, 1 run of 4
- 2 sets of 4
- 1 set of 4, 1 run of 4
- 2 runs of 4
- 3 sets of 3
- 1 run of 7, 1 set of 3
Any player who achieves the meld moves on to the next one in the following round. The winner of each round advances without any points, all others accumulate points equal to the value of the cards remaining in their hands as follows:
- 2's and Aces = 20pts
- 3-7 = 5pts
- 8-King = 10pts
Happy playing!
